But with all the inventory we decided to give it another try. So in 2001 Potters Wheel Gift Shop opened its doors on Pender Street, Chinatown. In 1996 they decided to close the stores and pursue other interests. It was a successful 20 years of brick and mortar retailing endeavour. Eventually they opened a few more stores outside Chinatown. Our parents started the business in Canada in 1976 with the opening of their first store in the heart of Chinatown, Vancouver, Canada.
