After visiting coffee shops in many countries and especially dozens in Vancouver, we felt that there were very few that offered what we thought was an amazing coffee experience. We like to think that it's all the spices that make a soup taste good. Others think it's the homey, welcoming décor and the cool music. Some say it's the coffee (which we think is very good), some say it's the fun atmosphere. First of all, as it's known by locals, or should we say our love child . The Bean, the Bean is who we are. The Laughing Bean is our brain child, we don't have a "concept", is the culmination of a lifetime of experiences and coffee drinking. So we decided to see if we could create that place. Sure there were places where devotion to the science/art of coffee was unparalleled and places where we don't even want to know how much was spent on décor, but none ever gave us that wow, what a great place, we wanna come back here feeling. Honestly, we're not really sure why people so love The Bean , we're simply trying to serve good coffee that we'd want to drink in a way that we'd like to be served.
