We Are OneOpen Door Yoga was started in Jan. 1999 as a drop-in yoga class. We teach a hatha style yoga, linking asanas with breath and mindful awareness. Power, Main Street @ 14th, Open Door Yoga has expanded to 4 locations:Main Street @ 15th, yin & intermediate-advanced power yoga are also part of the schedule as well as many yoga and other workshops.Currently, kids, parent & baby, prenatal, restorative, Commercial Drive and Kerrisdale (@ 6158 East Boulevard)Style of Yoga taught. Classes were hatha style classes, linking asanas in a flow-like sequence with emphasis on breathing and alignment.Open Door Yoga remains a predominantly hatha yoga studio. In Sept. of 1999, the school changed to offering a variety of passes to accommodate the growing student population. With particular attention to safety, we offer all-levels class by offering modifications and variations throughout the class.
