Our Purple Dragon branch celebrated 10 years in the Kitsilano Community this past March. Purple Dragon's Don Jitsu Ryu System is practiced by thousands in 12 countries worldwide.Our All Stars competition team travels internationally competing in World Championships and is supported through the Purple Dragon Kitsilano Youth Society. Members gain confidence to apply in school, the work place and everyday life. The eldest member in Vancouver is 74 years old! We also specialize in Cardio Kickoxing, Women's Self Defense and private classes.Purple Dragon is a community that focuses on community that gives support in mental, physical and spiritual growth. Our Instructors teach Purple Dragon's style of Don Jitsu Ryu to ages 4-Adult. Head Instructor, Owner, Sensei Amber Murphy has been a student of founder Professor Don Jacob for over 14 years. Foremost, our main focus is quality Martial Arts, understanding the bunkais (applications) and the dynamic techniques of Don Jitsu Ryu.
